“Don’t judge a book by it’s cover”

Standard

that well known saying, and today I saw it in practice.

I was a part of a 15 mile relay run for the opening of a ‘fantastic’ new school. The final leg of our run was to the stunning new building. My school is a part of a foundation of many schools, and was a failing school too and then was re-built and turned around. We walked into the school to see students milling around, jewellery on (which was clearly not under uniform rules), 4-inch-think layers of makeup, and all that came out of their mouths was hate and swear/curse words.

I understand my school came from a similar situation, but we were in no way this bad. This just goes to show how amazing new facilities don’t necessarily change the people in it. Hence, “Don’t judge a book by its cover”
